This was a request from some dude on deviantArt. I'll admit, I don't get the premise of characters turning into dolls (which there is a whole group dedicated to), but this piece proved an interesting challenge.
I used reference for the first stage (on the left) and made up the doll based upon that. Then, I had to essentially tween the middle image (in animator speak).
Created using my usual method of pencil, Illustrator and Photoshop.
The other half of my previous Lucky Star/Vocaloid cross over.
I don't think this one came out quite as well. Stupid arms and poses and stuff.

Wanted to try my hand at creating something with the tablet from scratch. Additionally, I wanted to test out some SAI stuff I'd learned by watching some speed paints. This is the result.

Kirino Kousaka of "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" fame, drawn for the ANN Go to Japan contest. Sadly, I have not actually begun to watch this show (was busy finishing out Toradora!), but it certainly is high on my list.
I'd say that this is, to date, the fanciest piece I've attempted over all (color, background, pose, etc). Arguably, I think I may have missed on the pose, but moving out of one's comfort zone is how one improves.
